"Dark Blooms", Vogue UK Fall 2012 feat. Lara Stone
A bit of late summer- early fall inspiration. I prefer British things over American in many regards, and I must say that vogue is no exception!

Aesthetically amazing, head to toe... such a mysterious yet seductive shoot.

Metal and Wine

Friday mornings
This shade of wine, or maybe burgundy depending on the angle, is always a staple in my closet. It's such an easy color to work with+ immediately adds a warm hue to an otherwise monotonous outfit. And speaking of shades, that 50 shades book (about to turn film) that everyone's been raving about is one series that I won't succumb to! Although if Ryan Gosling is cast, then we're talking about a very different story. My lazy day outfits are composed of slouchy sweaters and over-worn corduroys (with the holes to prove it). Throw on my brown lace up boots and I'm a pretty happy camper.

Snagged these earrings awhile back at a UO sale. Digging the geometric shape& its dirty gold color.

On a side note, here are a few things I'm liking:
Mumford and son's Sigh No More album cover was almost as impressive as the songs on their album. "Dust Bowl Dance" was the one that got me hooked. If you like music in the realm of the Lumineers or Edward Sharpe& the Magnetic Zeros, definitely check out their newest album titled Babel (right) out September!

I finally saw Beasts of the Southern Wild earlier this week.
Magical cinematography, brilliant acting and killer soundtrack. All around very inspiring film!

And before I forget, I started experimenting with the addition of FONTS over photos for this post. What do you guys think? If the answer is something like

then I trust that you'll let me know! I kind of like it myself, although I was conflicted about the first one because of its uncanny resemblance to a Weasley family Christmas sweater.

Anyhow, have a great weekend!
