Free People Inspiration

Free People August 2010, Morocco 

I throw most catalogues away without a second thought, but Free People just does not belong in the recycle bin. I've been collected the catalogues for maybe 2 or 3 years now, and they are still the most inspiring visuals I've seen. 

I don't even mind the fact that they are trying to sell things I can't afford 

(hello student budget)because I feel like I'm getting free art in the mail. 

This issue from last August is one of my favorites.

A great boutique that I only recently discovered due to a fitting for my school's fashion show this past Sunday (hopefully I'll get to do a post on the show soon!)They have great brands (free people for one)and the interior is beautiful. This is a really busy week for me, but I'll try to get in an outfit or two, and

This week is midterm week for me- i.e lack of sleep,nutrition,and pretty much a social life. Overall, I'm just not very presentable to my peers, let alone the blog world! 

Anyway,I've been collecting these photos since the beginning of summer- the sequence is somewhat like a summer-fall transition. These foods (so savory+colorful)make me want to throw out every processed item in my kitchen...

save for the sugary breakfast cereal. That I need.

I don't spend too much time browsing the top music videos of youtube, but this one caught my attention (and held it!) as I've come back to it quite a few times since its first debut. The colors are so gorgeous, and in my opinion, every still could be part of an editorial.

I was passing time in the library's periodical section and came across this spread in Harpers... immediately made a mental note to find the photos online. 

I love everything about the styling: the vibrant colors, the bold geometric patterns, the urban background. And its all very wearable too! 

Thats always a plus.  

the trees have color

triangles, trees, and over-saturated pictures

eventually I'd like to shy away from these hipster/UO-esque type 

photos. right now that isn't happening... 

I think win and i did a pretty decent job with these though
